...yesterday on CKAC Ron Fournier was saying that Washington is trying to dump Nylander on us so they can have the cap space to complete Guerin acquisition....
IMO Nylander would be one heck of a bad aquisition... Huge cap hit for his age and still has 2 years to go...

This is the rumour that makes me want to cry. I can only hope Bob is smart enough to say no. edit: Unless Semin is coming with Nylander.

My guess is that George McPhee is looking at teams that need help at centre & thinks he can dump him on the Habs.

This is the rumour that makes me want to cry. I can only hope Bob is smart enough to say no. edit: Unless Semin is coming with Nylander. I get the sarcasm in your post but the logic is sound. If McPhee desperately needs to move Nylander to complete another deal then Gainey should be all over it, trying to fleece him. Especially if Gainey has no plans to make any other moves today (and I don't think he does have any plans to make any moves today). Something like Dandenault and Mathieu "trade me right effin now!' Carle for Jurcina and Nylander. Or whatever. If the Caps need a salary dump I would be more than willing to accomodate them in the same way the Sharks "helped" out the Devils when they needed to get rid of Malakhov. Even if it means having Nylander on the roster for another couple of years. Not that I think it will happen, mind you...
