OK, Leopold to Calgary for Nycholat, d-man Ryan Wilson and a second-round pick.

This year Nycholat has been in Ottawa, then to Vancouver, picked up on waivers by Calgary,and sent off in a trade to Colorado.

Why didn't the Avs just grab Nycholat on waivers if they wanted him?

So in the end, the Avalanche turned Tanguay into Nycholat, Wilson, a 2nd round pick, and Codey Burki (who looks like a longshot at best to make the NHL). Well done, Francois Giguere!
