i.e. Who got better for this year's run? Missed most of the deals/discussion today. We remained the same, that's all I know. Did the Bruins get better? Did the teams behind us improve? Inquiring mind here.....thanks guys....

Rangers added some size in Antropov but gave up 3 roster players for Morris so I don't think they are better off. The rest I will have to examine a little longer.

The Bruins probably. Montador and Recchi are solid. New Jersey got better.
Most of the others just made lateral moves (Carcillo, Cole, Guerin, Antropov, Moore etc) and it will take time to figure out if any of those teams are better.

Today? Boston. Nice trades to add to a strong team. No their only concern is their netminder, who has lost some of his lustre lately.
Over the "deadline period" I'd say New Jersey (Havelid is a nice addition to a strong team) and Montreal (Schneider is currently looking like a genius move). Most of the other teams made bit moves that don't help or hurt. Rangers are the big losers in the east, getting fleeced for Morris. Also question marks around Tampa (did they move enough) and Florida (JayBo).

Boston tweaked nicely. It will be a good year not to finish 8th in the East.
