Folks, by chance did anyone tape last night's Coach's Corner. I don't usually watch any more.
If anyone has this please drop me a PM. Thanks.
Cheers.

Thanks guys. I knew I could get it on CBC, but I can't download any video from that website. However, I just saw it on YouTube and I'll be downloading it from there using Real Player.
Cheers.

Did you know one of the soldiers Dis? Yes. Cpl Kenneth Chad O'Quinn was another one of my students. Went to welcome him home at CFB Trenton on Friday. Cheers.

Much thanks Reaper. I think it's important to recognize just how much these families have sacrificed. Having said that, this was my third trip to Trenton, but if nothing else it reaffirms to me just how many good people there are left in the world. A lot of times we only hear of the negatives or the stuff that sells newspapers; however, public support for these young men and women and their families is absolutely awesome.
If anyone knows the Trenton area, The Highway of Heroes now extends from the corner of highway 2 and RCAF Road, right to Hwy 401. People are lined up on both sides of road as the convoy of limos and herses turn onto hwy 2 from the airfield. Traffic is stopped at both sides and the road goes down to one, single lane because it is lined on both sides by supporters who come from out of town to be there. The couple I was standing beside took time off work and travelled from Toronto.
As they drove by, some of the families had their windows rolled down to say thanks to the many well-wishers who showed up. Very emotional for them and some of those waving. I saw school kids with their parents there, old and young, just about every shape and size.
The police won't ticket you for parking on either side of the highway. In fact, they'll use pylons to ensure the cars are well marked.
If anyone is thinking they might go down to Trenton sometime, you sure won't regret it. I've never seen the overpasses along hwy 401 for myself. But, there's enough pictures on the net.
Britain is trying to establish their Highway of Heroes now. I say, best of luck to them.
Cheers.
