What has happened to Steve Bernier and Kastitsyn? They both were big topics in the Draft and seemed to have dropped into a black hole. Any word on the two of them? So many of our later picks are blossoming beautifully and these two have disappeared. Injuries? ?? I admit Bernier was one guy I was high on or was I just high on something else?

Last I heard Kat was dropped down to cska-2 and was lighting it up at that level. Bernier, dunno, shouldn't be too hard to find out though.

Kastsitsyn was recalled few days ago from CSKA-2 to the big club (is it CSKA-1 then?). It might be because of injuries but this is Kastsitsyn's big chance to impress Tikhonov.

Kastsitsyn was recalled few days ago from CSKA-2 to the big club (is it CSKA-1 then?). It might be because of injuries but this is Kastsitsyn's big chance to impress Tikhonov. Kastytsin was indeed listed on CSKA's roster (on CSKA's official website) for a game against Avangard Omsk played on Oct., 17th (W 2-0). but on another site that also shows teams' lines, Kastytsin didn't appear on any of them. so I guess he was with the team but didn't dress for the game. the CSKA's list had 15 forwards on it and I doubt they dress 15 forwards for a game. he did play the next day for CSKA-2 in a home game against Rusi (?). CSKA-2 won 6-4 and Andrei had assists on the first 3 goals and scored the GWG himself. what's interesting is that CSKA-2 played the next game away to the same team but Kastytsin didn't play, which could mean that he will be with the big team tonight when they play at Ak Bars. R.

cool, just wondering how you found this out? I've got friends. My friend, who is a Habs fan too, likes to follow closely our prospects and he found that out so basically I just sat and waited, and he did all the work. Yeah, lazy me... ;D

For Kasty, what I've heard is that Zherdeev is going to finally be released. The jackets should have had Zherdev on the team already, the IIFC has cleared the deal, but for no reason, CSKA is refusing to let Zherdev go. But I heard that the jackets have asked the NHL to get involved, and Zherdev should be released shortly. Perhaps if this happens, Kastsitsyn will remain with CSKA. Who knows

They wouldn't go to all this trouble not to play him. I personally am not that high on Zherdev, but I really like what I've seen from Nash so far. I think the future is in Chicago. Radulov Ovechkin Voribev or Ruutu. I see the Hawks getting #1 overall this summer as a early guess.

Yeah, with their defence and injuries to Daze/Zhamnov they are looking like Ovechkin candidates for sure. You also have to like their other kids like Arnason, Bell and Calder who appear to be becoming solid NHLers at the very least.
