These people are doing some amazing work. If you have a Blu-ray or HD DVD player you need to have these in your library. Earth - The Biography, Planet Earth and Galapagos are all must sees. Below is a scene from Nature's Most Amazing Events, Episode 6.
Tell me this camera operator doesn't have the best job in the world:

Below is a scene from Nature's Most Amazing Events, Episode 6. Tell me this camera operator doesn't have the best job in the world: I agree it is amazing. However, getting those great shots is a surprisingly dangerous job. Last month a photographer for NG died during a shoot in the Mediterranean.

Perhaps, but that is a whole lot of life packed into one day my friend.

I love those documentries.......and then I cry when they turn to "the end of life as we know it because YOU murdered the planet".
There was a time when one could watch them and enjoy the wonders of nature...without the lectures.

There was a time when one could watch them and enjoy the wonders of nature...without the lectures. These docs have no political agenda of any kind. Having said that, the stresses man has put on the planet are well documented and if you can separate the PETA & Greanpeace alarmist-like spins and accept we're here for a short time, you can find beauty in the world everywhere you look. Money is one of the roots of all evil my friend. The others are a discussion for another day.

Money is one of the roots of all evil my friend. The others are a discussion for another day. For crying out loud! Is that why I have horns? I don't know specifically which documentaries you are referring too but way to many I see lately have built in lectures. She wont watch Predator 25 and I wont let Oprah ruin her mind...so documantries is our "balance'. Anywho.... A couple of months ago, I bought a couple of microscopes to be able to see some of the work we are doing. Wow, I wish I bought them a lot sooner. For the last couple of months, it's like I am a kid again discovering new worlds. EVERYTHING of interest is going under the microscope. Well, almost anything, my wife simple refuses to fit underneath one. *sic*

For crying out loud! Is that why I have horns? Possibly, although I think your negativity stems from a deeper rooted issue, but I don't have the PhD to go there. Read the thread title and my first post. It's all spelled out. Look into macro photography and there is a whole nother world right under our feet. Not sure you want to see the human body under a microscope, we're pretty gross.

My wife refuses to fit underneath one......GET IT? It was a "skinny" joke. Why oh why do I have to explain my brilliant sense of humour?
