This is so much more fun that the Houle years. Outside of 98, there was a lot forlorn hope in our scouted group. Trying to rationalize Eric Chouinard over Simon Gagne took a lot of effort. Now it seems every draft there are 2 guys at least who look like they could become something serious. We gave away our 1st for 08 (isn't that looking like a lousy deal now?), but Kristo's development is terrific and Trunev has some potential.

We're going to have to start calling him the "Count"!

Watched ND play Michigan Tech (last place team) last night. 4 - 1 for North Dakota fighting Sioux. Danny Kristo is a smooth skater with a bit of speed. He is used on the point on the power play. The overall quality of play was not outstanding and Kristo did not really stand out from the other players. He was probably one of the better players but not by that much. No way to project where he'll be in 4 years. (see Fisher & McDonough) I'm starting to think that the mental side of the game is more important and players that are 100% committed to hockey vs college may have an advantage.
