Trade with Pitts traded their seventh-rounder, which would have been the last pick in this draft, to Montreal for a sixth-round choice in 2010.
Montreal gambled on a 6'6" Finnish goalie.
Heard Martin McGuire on CKAC reporting the reasons given by Timmins. All the team's European scouts had him on their list. Is under the same group of trainers that trained Pekka Rinne so they think there is a good chance he'll develop well.

At 6'6 he'll just have to get in the area of the puck.

He is now our second tallest goalie prospect. Missiaen is still two inches taller. Go ahead NHL, make the nets taller!!
Timmins liked the fact that he is going to work with the same guy that developed Koskinen (the top goalie this draft who went first pick in the second round) and with Renne.
Overall, I am glad they took a goalie late in the draft. Always want to keep that pipeline a little stocked. It is officially our area of weakest depth of prospects, now that the centre postion has been bolstered fairly nicely.
