After 5.5 years in prison, he says the target of the murder plot wasn't Frost...but his own father.
He's not allowed to see his father, but he is allowed to see Frost with the approval of his parole officer.
Something still smells fishy.....that Frost is bad news.

As conditions of his release, Danton is to have no direct or indirect contact with Steve Jefferson and no face-to-face contact with Frost, unless approved by his parole officer.
I'm not sure that means he can't see his father with the approval of his parole officer, but it sounds like he can communicate with Frost as much as he wants.

Yep, he can communicate with Frost all he wants...via text, phone, email.
Under my thumb.....
From the Edmonton Sun:
Danton admitted to the board that the person he wanted killed was his biological father, Steve Jefferson, though Frost ended up as the target.
"The victim turned out to be Mr. Frost but the intended victim was not him," Danton told the board.
Now does that make any sense at all?
Stay tuned......

I keep hoping by some strange coincidence that Frost gets hit by a truck. The puppet master is a sad excuse for a human being.

Sportsnet will show the Kypreos interview tomorrow (Nov.11) at 8 pm EST.
I have a feeling that Frost has told Danton to say he's a great guy...and all the blame will be put on Danton's father.

Yep...Frost is off the hook, according to Danton.
Frost must think we're really stupid.
He still has a powerful hold on Danton, IMO. Even to the point of getting him to change his story (in Frost's best interests ONLY). Danton will never be "free" until he tells Frost what to do with himself.
Then again, maybe Frost made a deal with him: i.e. You say it wasn't me, and I'll be out your life.
In the interview, Danton said, "I'm going down this road for my hockey, Dave's going down another road."
From cbc.ca:
Bob McKeown, who has covered the case extensively for CBC's The Fifth Estate, does not believe the new claim (that the target was Danton's father). The program found witnesses who alleged Danton showed pictures of Frost to a potential hitman.
"He arranged to have him kill the person that was at his apartment on this particular night," McKeown said.
"The person at the apartment was David Frost."

Watched this tonight. Kypreos seems taken in by Danton & his tales of abuse. Danton describes squalid living conditions at home which has been denied by his parents. It should be followed up with interviews with Jefferson family members.
I found the tone of the interview & post interview sympathetic. Kypreos even said on the FAN590 that he would take Danton on his team. Jeez, if his plan had been fulfilled, someone would be dead today. Who wants a person like that around? This is no Avery & a "sloppy seconds" comment.
I wonder what Steve Simmons of The Sun is thinking? He's been on Frost's case for years.

Wait. Danton thinks he'll get a sniff at hockey again? Certainly not the NHL. He was a fringe player to begin with. Who wants that baggage and lack of impact.
Also recall he last played before the lockout.

As to the Jefferson side of the story, (as well as more light shed on Frost's true nature), here's an illuminating piece from Elliotte Friedman. I'd like to see follow-up as well. Kypreos softballed that interview...but maybe he was "directed" as such.
