I redid the Habs page at HF, with new rankings as some players had to be moved to graduated status. Hainsey, Hossa and Ryder are off the list, with some new guys cracking the top 20. So if anyones interested, check it out. www.hockeysfuture.com/team.php?team=17

I see that Andrei Kastsitsyn has graduated to 8. If you remember (and I'm sure you do), there was a lot of talk about the 7.5 score hockeysfuture (or was it russianprospect?) gave him a few months ago after the draft, because he was considered a top offensive prospect at this time by a lot of people.
Just for fun, do you have a specific justification for raising his score? Kastsitsyn has only seen limited time on the CSKA elite team, and from the scores I see, he's still not at the same level as Nikolai Zherdev for example.
Aside from that, I see that hockeysfuture is keeping it conservative as always, which is a good thing. I guess it may not always be easy to rate a prospect that few people in NA had the chance to see. Jaroslav Halak, for exemple, is tearing up his league. But does he deserve more than a 6?

You bring up good points. With Kastsitsyn, I moved him up to an 8, based on the fact that he has been able to play on CSKA's roster, was sent down played very well for CSKA-2, then was called up and has see limited action on the 4th line. In 7 games he has only 1 pt, but he has shown progression over last year, and the fact that I felt 7.5 was too low for him. Thanks to Tattac I will get to see a few game of Kastsitsyn this season. I don't compare other prospects, so what Zherdev does and what Kastsitsyn do are two different things, IMO. It is not easy to rate 39 prospects, especially the Euro ones who I see very little if at all. The WJC's and a few select Euro league games and that's it. But they all have to be ranked, and I've seen more of our prospects then most.

Nice job in an extremely volatile area. Keep it up! Thanks mr b. The first time I did the rankings (this is the 2nd time) I got grilled from Hab fans for being too low on many prospects, and I got grilled from non Hab fans for being too high on our prospects. I tried to be more objective but it's all just one persons opinion.

Thanks to Tattac I will get to see a few game of Kastsitsyn this season. You lucky b... Which ones? W-18? CSKA? I guess CSKA-2 isn't televised... Don't forget to write the mandatory 12 pages, play-by-play and frame-by-frame analysis of our own "Hello Kastsy" as soon as you get your hands on these tapes
