Saw this on a pop up screen on Canoe.ca. I'll only post a few but I thought it was kind of funny to see where these bands came up with their names.
The Backstreet Boys named themselves after a flea market in Orlando, Florida. (WENN.COM)
Ace of Base recorded their first 'studio' album in the basement of an auto repair shop. They were the 'masters of the basement' so they called themselves Ace of Base. (handout)
Foo Fighters is a phrase that World War II pilots used for flying fireballs in the sky. (WENN.COM)
Devo stands for 'de-evolution,' which is what the band thinks humans are currently undergoing. (WENN.COM)
Black Sabbath is the 'holy day of witchcraft' mentioned in a 60s' horror movie. (WENN.COM)
