Anyone here can help me ?
My son is asking me how to do a roster update for NHL 2010 on a XBox 360.
He wants to have the accurate Habs roster.
I have no clue how to do it !

Do you have an X-Box Live Gold account?
(And we are talking about EA Sports NHL 2010 and not NHL 2K10 right?)

And yes, it's the EA version...... Would this update change the roster for the single player version or just the ONline gaming ? As you can probably tell, I'm not too familiar with the XBox

I am almost sure you need X-Box Live Gold to get the roster update. I may be wrong - it's been awhile since I tried, but in general that's the way EA does things. Nice of them, I know.
If you go down that route it'll cost you $50-$60 bucks for a 12 month membership, plus whatever it costs to get the X-Box hooked into your home network (an X-Box wireless adapter costs $60, Cat-5 is cheaper, but you may have to run cables everywhere). The bonus with X-Box Live Gold is that he'll be able to play online (or you'll be able to play on line).
The roster update should change both single player and online play. Or you can choose to use the default roster if you prefer.

Didn't realize the Xbox is not wireless out of the box. The PS3 and Wii were.... Wireless adapter, Gold membership..... good lord.......it's not cheap just to have an accurate roster... Thanks a lot for your help

Another side benefit to XBOX live - long distance talk for the price of the membership. My son at home regularly talks to his brother in another city by just putting on the headset & connecting.

Ps3 is more expensive up front by $100 but its free online, plus its got a bluray player and wireless network adapter built in. So I figure its cheaper in the long run and why I bought it last year over X-box. The info given above is correct (with the online membership part) but you can always do the changes yourself with roster management in the game. Especially if you are only worried above the Habs roster. It would be alot cheaper for you.
