He had a rough go of it after "Different Strokes." ======================================================= His adult life was marked with legal, financial and health troubles, suicide attempts and even a 2003 run for California governor.======================================================= Gary passed away from a brain hemorrhage at age 42. His sister on the series, Dana Plato, committed suicide by a drug overdose, while Todd Bridges, the surviving 'kid' from "Different Strokes", had his troubles as well. jam.canoe.ca/Television/2010/05/27/14150886-wenn-story.htmlRIP

Sadly similar to the Natasha Richardson case. She fell while skiing at Tremblant last year. She seemed OK for a while then fell into a coma & passed away.
Condolences.
