Okay, so the season has not started yet (or even the pre season), but the Grey Cup is in E-town this year for the 98th edition of the big game and Mrs NWT and I just bought our tics today. We were toying with going last season but the prices were crazy and the Cowtown hotels were nuts, so decided to hold off one year until the game was just down the road. Next year is in Van City, and then off to TO for the 100th anniversary. Only my third Grey Cup, having been part of the half time show in 1976 as part of the Sports Quebec profile on provincial sports athletes and then not again until the last stint in Ottawa. This will be my first one out west, where the Grey Cups are the show in town!!
There is just something really cool to me about the CFL. Sure, the premier talent is down south, but it is a different game and it is a very enjoyable spectator sport. I am a fan of this little underdog!!
I can hardly wait until July 11th, when the Als are in town. Last year's Als game was a fun outing (for a bit, lol), 30,000 plus in the crowd, and at least 4 were Als fans. Als were 6-0 coming in, and got spanked....I hate losing to Edmonton teams. The last laugh was worth it though.

I love it when the Riders go to Edmonton, Calgary, or Winnipeg for a home game. [mutters under breath, still bitter about last year's Grey Cup] May head to TO for the game there . . . tickets scalped on the street for less than face . . . and Canadians in their superiority mode they talk about Phoenix not supporting a team
