1-1 after one period. Shot from the point by Plante tipped by Ferland in front. His third of the season.
Higgins left game after getting hit in the head, Jarvis says it is for precautionary reasons.

2-1 Toronto somehow after two periods. Dogs outshoot 'em 21-10 in the 2nd period, but big Valiquette huge in net for the Roadrunners.

Dogs tie it up on the PP by Dykhuis.
Then refs call Dogs for three straight penalties to keep Roadrunners on the 5 on 3 for ever. They finally score to win 3-2.
Dogs rattle Valiquette with a ton of rubber right up to the final buzzer, but can't score. Final shots 46-31 for the Dogs...holy crap!!

Plekanec had some game. He was all over the place. Clearly the bext skater on the ice tonight.
As for all those penalties, there were lots of Roadrunners taking dives.
Higgins left the game early due to a "head injury" He was cheapshotted in the 1st. Hope he is ok.

I agree AH. Pleks was definitely the most visable player on eithe team. He looks very good. The phantom slashing penalty he took as the third penalty in succession was a joke. THat ref was terrible most of the night. At one point Pleks looked to have tied it up. The ref skating behind the net as the scarmble ensued, pointed to the net as if to reference a goal had indeed been scored. No light, and it was a tough call. However he couldn't make up his mind until he got to the time keepers box for a towel to tend a cut he'd received. I think the short staffed Dogs were puzzled all game with the calls against them, and that play didn't help. To the teams credit they continued to press for the tie, but Valiquette was stellar.

46 shots without Dagenais-Gratton-Balej. Very impressive.

Entertaining game. Perezhogin and Milroy also had their moments. Dykhuis is playing well. His experience shows. Perezhogin has some sweet moves and is very fast. Valiquette had to make an oustanding save on one of his individual plays. Milroy played much better than in the last televised game. Credit should be given to Jarvis. He's getting the most out his lineup.
Cheers,
