That looks like a staged movie set.
Googled it and found links to other drug wars/raids in Mexico. Horrendous stuff. Outright greed and total disregard for human life...(as if that's really any different than some governments).
I know, it's no different wherever the drug cartels exist....but it's a whole other layer of existence.
I'd say "The Wire" is a darn good depiction of the modern inner-city branch of it.
Love to do a history of the "illegal" drug trade. Right now, I go only as far back as the Opium Wars in the 1800s....in which Hong Kong was given to England as "retribution". So, here's the UK...and some U.S.A. blue-bloods....hooking the Chinese on opium....China tries to repel....the UK declares war....(the US doesn't join in, yet it's okay with them)....Britain wins....and Honk Kong is given as part of the spoils.
That's kind of weird, isn't it?
You won't let us hook you on drugs? Okay, we'll beat you up then take a huge economic port.
