7 shots for Hossa. I like it! Didn't see or listent to the game, but a stat like that would seem to indicate that he was involved, and driving for the net.
The more Hossa shoots, the better chance he has of getting back into the NHL, in my opinion...
Actually, that team seems to have a bunch of shooters - Perezhoghin with 6, Beauchemin with 6, Higgins with 5... They definitely know where the net is...

I was at the game last night - a big win over their division rivals! Despite my concerns about the loss of Balej, the Dogs acutally outplayed the Crunch by a wide margin (outshooting them 49-31). Only the play of Goehring (and a couple of goal posts) kept the score close. It took a while for the final goal to be posted - there was a lot of discussion between the ref and the linesmen about whether the puck actually went in the net before time had expired in OT.
Marcel Hossa certainly played a much better game than he has for most of the year. He worked hard and used his body. When he comes to play and plays physical he shows a lot of skill. Let's hope he's decided to come to play every game now. The Dog's will need production out of him in the playoffs if they hope to go very far.

Hossa missed a chunk of the 1st period as well when he was cross checked in the arm. Sounded like he and Perezhogin both had a really strong game. Blouin was back from his 8 game suspension. Damphousse is back from injury where he missed a month with a thumb injury. Dogs play a big game friday night against the Barons who are 6 pts behind the Dogs.

The more Hossa shoots, the better chance he has of getting back into the NHL, in my opinion... Unless he takes to the Dagenais road of floating and shooting..... he's shows some signs of that in the past....
