Interesting
Think locke will be another Ribiero?
4 guys all 6'2 or above in Lambert, Lapierre, Bonneau and Urquhart ..... we could use a guy like Bonneau right now...... too bad he wasn't a few more years along, Urquhart a big center would be nice too, let him pack some weight on

Interesting Think locke will be another Ribiero? 4 guys all 6'2 or above in Lambert, Lapierre, Bonneau and Urquhart ..... we could use a guy like Bonneau right now...... too bad he wasn't a few more years along, Urquhart a big center would be nice too, let him pack some weight on Locke is a tough one to figure. I look forward to seeing how his skills will translate in the AHL, as I assume he gets signed this summer to play in Hamilton next year after being the top scorer in the OHL for 2 years in row, don't see how much more he can learn in juniors. From there, we'll see how well he does, as Ribeiro was a solid AHLer and one of the Citadels top players while he was there. I do see some Ribeiro comparisons but junior scoring means little to me. Urquhart I feel is the most skilled but he's got a long way to go as he needs to learn to play a more physical game. He has the size and skill, but I am concerned about his lack of physical play. I wonder if the Habs will move him to Hamilton next year, or let him go back to PEI for his final year. He's sort of weak on draws and his skating/speed while not bad could be improved. I spoke to Cory and we talked about how he needs to bulk up some and get stronger, and he said that the PEI trainers own their own gym and have been helping him a lot. He's got great hands and impressive vision. Lambert needs to be signed by June 1st but he has the size and skill level to be in the NHL. Plus he's got a wicked wrist shot. He gets heat for a lack of effort but seems to have worked on that, and he gets heat for not passing, but I'm not that concerned about that part of his game cause he's a shooter who has over 100 goals in the last 3 seasons. Lapierre I really like but his upside is still way off the charts. I find his game is still so raw it's really hard to say role he will play with the Habs, but he's showing improvement in all areas of the game, and is becoming a solid all round player. He'll go back to PEI for one more season, where he should be the top player on the team, and imo should get some sort of look for Team Canada next year but that's just me hyping him up for now. Bonneau while not much of a hockey player should spend another 2 years in the Q, and then a few in either the ECHL or AHL. I like the pick, but find he's got a long way to go outside of fighting.
