If today's audio bit from PG is any indication, it doesn't look like the Habs are going to do anything too exciting at the draft. I wouldn't be at all surprised if they traded down. Based on past history, I suspect it'll be BPA which means something of a project like a U.S. college or high school player. With no 2nd round pick, lets hope it's not another Fischer.

Can't believe they passed on McNeill...what a big mistake that will turn out to be. Must be something to do with Habs bad luck out west in first round

Can't believe they passed on McNeill...what a big mistake that will turn out to be. Must be something to do with Habs bad luck out west in first round I had the Habs selecting McNeill too ... and according to McGuire (who was making mistakes all night long ... Quebec drafted Forsberg? ... ahhh that was Philly Pierre) the Habs were all set to draft McNeill and never expected Beaulieu to be there, but they just couldn't give up the chance to get him. I'm happy with this pick. Imagine in 4 years time (Wayne's World screen fading to the future) ... Subban, Tinordi, Weber, Beaulieu, Yemelin, ... and who knows, if Beaulieu can crack the lineup in 2 years even maybe with Markov there ... My predictions were going strong until Garth Snow thre the monkey wrench into it ... I went 4 for 4 , and 5 out of the top ten .... and then only got Oscar Klefbom going to the Oilers right in the next twenty ....
