Sun, March 21, 2004 The Hamilton Bulldogs announced today they have added goaltender Yann Danis, forward Brent Robinson and defenceman Mark Flood. Danis was recently signed to a contract with the Montreal Canadiens, while Robinson and Flood have each signed Amateur Try-Out contracts (A.T.O.), respectively with the Bulldogs. - www.canoe.ca/Bulldogs/News/2004/03/21/390716.html

The interesting call here is Flood, who seems to be getting a tryout contract with the AHL club, whereas usually a drafted player has to get a 3-year rookie contract with the NHL club, as dictated by the CBA.
I think Flood is unsure of getting the NHL contract and now will try to show what he can do in the AHL...

It's interesting to note that both Robinson and Danis are Montreal area natives who played for Brown this year. Robinson has good size and is about 9 months older than Marcel Hossa. If he works out, the Habs have even more depth to the organization. You can read his bio at the Brown University website: brownbears.ocsn.com/sports/m-hockey/mtt/robinson_brent00.html
