from Hockey's future: Q&A with Christian Larrivee
Written by Holly Gunning on 03/28/2004 Christian Larrivee is a rookie out of Chicoutimi of the QMJHL. He has 31 points in 66 games for the ECHL Columbus Cottonmouths, and two points in two games for the AHL Hamilton Bulldogs. The 6’3” 200-pound center was a fourth round pick of the Canadiens in 2000.
Disguised in fatigue-like jerseys, looking very much like the Brampton Battalion, the Columbus Cottonmouths defeated the South Carolina Stingrays 6-2 on Armed Services Night on Saturday. Hockey’s Future spoke to Larrivee after the game.-- the full article --R.

Good interview IMO. He seems to be a young man with his head screwed on right, and recognizes that being delegated to the ECHL can still help his game in the long run. I like his goal of cracking the lineup in Hamilton next season, and in the meantime he will take advantage of playing against better quality opponents in the ECHL than he faced in the Q last season.
I know he has played both C and LW, but his chances with the Dogs may be better on the wing. He could be part of a pretty strong LW corps in Hamilton next season, along with Hossa, Kasty, Lambert and Dwyer who possibly could all be part of the Dogs next season (note: lots can change and this makes some assumptions, but I like the depth at LW now). At centre, the Dogs have current centres Gratton, Higgins, Pleks and likely will sign Locke and Deveaux in the offseason (and perhaps even Uruqhart), so even if there is some movement up to Montreal, tough lineup to crack. Looks good for the Dogs next season (since we know they will be playing!!).
