The final remaining piece in the Hamilton goalie tandem seems to be set. He is a 27 year old AHL vet, who put up second best save percentage in the AHL for the last couple of years. He also managed 10 games with the Isles in their ever-revolving goalie situation. Good sized goalie from Calgary. Lawson-Delmas with Mayer likely playing in the ECHL and being next in line due to injury. canadiens.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=568595&navid=DL|MTL|home

Guess the Habs tried to re-sign MacIntyre (as you would have expected after his spectacular half season with the Dogs) but he felt that the two year deal to Budaj closed his opportunity to get a shot at the big show. www.thespec.com/sports/bulldogs/article/558319Lawson is not a bad consolation prize. It would still be nice to have a bona fide goalie prospect in the system. It sure doesn't look like Mayer, and leaves young Delmas to show what he is capable of. An interesting fact about the young bluenoser is he played in four different leagues last season (QMJHL, ECHL, AHL and CHL). I know the Habs are very interested in Aaron Dell from U of North Dakota and had him out to their first development camp, but he wants to return to the NCAA for this season. He put up great numbers last season and is only 21 as well. At least the Habs should have an inside track of the Airdrie, AB kid when he decides to turn pro (we hope!).
