for all of us who had the double album on vinyl: Frampton hasn't lost anything but his hair.
he was in town this weekend on a 35th anniversary tour. thought it cheesy when the concert started with the "if there was ever an honorary member of San Francisco society . . . Mr. Peter Frampton" and he launched into the first song, but he quickly informed us that he was revisiting that concert. he did.
still has crazy nimble guitar fingers. still has the crowd eating out of the palm of his hand.
enjoyable concert. see it if you have the chance.

My sister was at the concert as well. I guess Huey Lewis and the News opened for Frampton, eh?
I was going to go but I would have had to stick around for the encore and then drive back to Kingston and show up for classes at the regular time.
Kind of disappointed that we couldn't get there. Glad you enjoyed it buds.
Cheers.

actually, dis, the lineup was Frampton, the Huey Lewis, then Perfect Circle . Frampton at 6:00, Lewis at 8:00.
the Citizen raved about Huey Lewis and said that Frampton was "OK but" [my interpretation], but I disagree. Frampton played with energy and was fun; while people sang along to "I Want a New Drug" and "The Heart of Rock and Roll" it just didn't [to my mind] have it. Lewis sang. Frampton entertained.
btw, Frampton added a great version of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" at the end.
