Did you know? Four HABS players got married this summer (2 current, 2 former).

As Willie Dog already pointed out on Aug. 3, Patches married Katia Afinogenova. As you may recall, she is the Katia that Cammy was so worried about when Patches was injured.

Tomas Plekanec married Lucie Vondrackova on June 17. Rumour has it that they are already expecting! (courtesy Habs Eyes on the Prize; Aha! Online [Czech])

Alexandre Picard (now with the Pens) married Marika Smith recently; those of us who watched Nos Canadiens had been made aware of the upcoming nuptials.

Jeff Halpern (now with the Caps) married Kelley Cornwell on June 25. Kelley is a former RedSkins cheerleader (courtesy Washington Post). She is quite lovely, congratulations Jeff!

Michael Cammalleri and his lady-friend (I believe he said in Nos Canadiens that her name was Jan) had a baby girl on August 12. Congrats to both!

The first inkling I had about the baby was here (BTW, excellent reading that had everything to do with hockey):

and Mike did confirm to James Cybulski on August 23, on TSN Radio, that they had a new addition. He is responsible for talking her for walks when she gets cranky

Lars and his wife Julie have a baby! And this happened, as far as I can back-track it, between Pleky's wife and Gill's wife giving birth. How come the birth of Larry's child was the only one the team didn't announce? Geez, they even told us that Kaberle's girlfriend/wife had their baby in Toronto (why again?).

If you want a giggle, listen to Larry's phone call to Virgin Radio 96 on June 13 (the baby is wailing in the background, the host asks him if those are his screaming fans...):
