The Engqvist, Palushaj, Avtsin top line got hemmed in their own end for ages 2-1 bad guys.

Unlikely combatant Palushaj with a scrap. Marlies are targeting him for sure.

that third period was brutal. I thought I was watching "our" Habs.

that third period was brutal. I thought I was watching "our" Habs. We were watching our future Habs...... I saw the second period....the Leblanc goal showed nice hands on the deke....but I saw little else.

Leblanc and the future fourth liners are the most likely. We get a nice influx in the fall of much more likely future Habs. THe Marlies just outclassed the Dogs most of the game.

Dogs get some sweet revenge for the outdoor, nationally televised loss to the Marlies last weekend. They won 4-1 thanks to goals from DeSimone, Palushaj, Stafford, and Willsie. Lawson was in net for the win.

Dogs lose to Marlies in an NHL reversal of sorts, but at least we scored 5-1. theahl.com/stats/game-summary.php?game_id=1009370Lots of fights in this one, highlighted by Schultz and White. Mayer let in 4 goals in 23 minutes of play before Sanford took over. Game was done at that point.

Mayer let in 4 goals in 23 minutes of play before Sanford took over. Game was done at that point. White scored both goals in a 2-0 win today to get one win in their three in three stretch. Lawson got the shutout. White and Schultz called up and they will be tired puppies after three in three. Good thing they are young!

Blake Geoffrion will be playing in the Bell Centre tonight!!
Of course, with the Habs in the US national capital, the Dogs take over the Bell Centre tonight against the league leading St. John's Sea Dogs (the ex-Moose will be loose aboot the hoose).
My guess is it won't be his last game this season in that barn. He had a goal and an assist in a losing 4-2 effort the other night. 9 points in 20 games with his old AHL team, 7 in 3 games with his new one.

Bulldogs Captain and veteran, Alex Henry, has signed a deal to play in Germany next season. Good for him as he likely makes more coin, but too bad for the Dogs as he has been an excellent captain on some very young teams...none younger than what the 2012-13 Dogs should be with a ton of new kids being signed this offseason. What he lacked in foot speed in made up for in spades in character and leadership. The big dude always stood up for his mates and had no problem dropping the mitts. His presence will be missed for sure, but I wish him well. He wore the jersey with pride.

He spent part of the lockout year in Germany. He'll be missed in Hamilton. Be interesting to see WHO fills that roster spot. They're entitled to another AHL contract on the books. Maybe the roster spot will be used for a certain under achieving center.
