Indeed. While I loved Sammy's superb vocal range, David Lee Roth's style/phrasing is one-of-a-kind.

Not a fan of this album. I've heard a number of tracks and the lyrics sound like they're being sung to an entirely different song than is being played too often. I'll stick with the old stuff - Van Halen and Van Haggar.

I Stopped listening to Van Halen when DLR left!! Musically different, both versions had merit imo. EVH was moving away from the early stuff and Hagar fit what he was trying to do. IMO, Balance from 1995 is one of their best albums. Eddie's tone on that album combined with the song writing is fantastic. VH3 was an abomination.
