www.usatoday.com/sports/hockey/columnist/woodlief/2004-06-14-woodlief_x.htmStill hyping Dave Brown, I see... Jason Churchill sounds like an intriguing prospect, were he to last to the 3rd or 4th round (they think 2nd). 6'4 Quebec goalie, they say he is very raw, and needs a good coach. If its one thing Montreal is generally pretty good at, it would seem to be developing goalies. He sounds like a project, but... 6'4... I know we don't need goalies (now) but if we're looking 6 or 7 years down the road...

churchill is a little like ryder in that he as never really had any good coaching or played in any high caliber leauge until the past couple years. He is also a very dedicated player and willing to do whatever it takes for him to reach his goals. last year he was in the Q but didn't play a whole lot. This year he played on the second worst team in the QMJHL and faced a high number of shots in most games. I believe that he is a late bloomer and with time and a little more experience he can be a nhl goalie.
