Having been confabulated by mock drafts and prospect ratings, I've decided to do a completely unscientific poll to determine the Habs pick at #18. I've taken the names of the players selected just before (#17), at (#18) and immediately after (#19) the Habs spot in the first round by the various pundits, and assigned 1 point for each selection. The results are:
Chipchura - 4 Radulov - 3 Lisin - 2 Wolski - 2 Fransson - 1 Graham - 1 Green - 1 Korpikoski - 1 Smid - 1 Bolland - 1 Dubnyk - 1 Picard - 1 Schwarz - 1
BadCompany 17. Schwarz 18. Korpikoski 19. ---
Hockey's Future 17. Radulov 18. Fransson 19. Lisin
Hockey News 17. Dubnyk 18. Chipchura 19. Wolski
McKeen's 17. Wolski 18. Graham 19. Chipchura
Bob McKenzie 17. Picard 18. Radulov 19. Chipchura
Sports Forecaster 17. Bolland 18. Green 19. Smid
TSN 17. Radulov 18. Chipchura 19. Lisin

I did a similar exercise and the name that jumped out was Kyle Chipchura at #18. Korpikoski looks like he would also be available.

Around the areas where the Habs will be picking, all of the players are at least 6'2". As far as size goes when we pick, we certainly can't go wrong.
