Legendary bluegrass banjo player. Passed away at 88, on Wednesday. Scruggs was probably best known for performing alongside Lester Flatt with the Foggy Mountain Boys. Among their biggest songs were “Foggy Mountain Breakdown“, which was used in the 1967 film “Bonnie and Clyde”, and “The Ballad of Jed Clampett“, the theme song from the classic TV series The Beverly Hillbillies.

Remember their music and their appearance on the "Beverly Hillbillies". "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" is an excellent trigger.

Scruggs, at 82, bookends this appearance on Letterman back in 2006.
Steve Martin introduces the rest of them at the end.

The last video sound like organized mayhem. LOL!
I like some blue grass, in small doses. Alison Krauss is kind of interesting.
