Richard Dawson's passing prompted me to share this link. Archive of American TelevisionA fascinating site featuring in-depth interviews with TV legends....talking about their entire lives. Click on the INTERVIEWS tab along the top. Alphabetical list of actors, producers, directors, writers, etc. Once you click on a name, go to the CHAPTERS tab under the video screen....and select what topic you want to see. I found the Jerry Lewis and George Carlin interviews captivating. Inside info straight from the horse's mouth. At least their version of it.

I watched the Carlin interview and it was typical Carlin. He just tells it like it is. A true pioneer.
Was looking for Art Carney or Jacky Gleason. Couldn't find them, though. Will check Tim Conway's interview after work.
Interesting website.
Cheers.

Dis....it says the Archive was founded in 1997. Carney passed away in 2003, so they could've interviewed him...but maybe he declined. Gleason passed away in 1987. Imagine how nice it be to have one of these interviews with Lucille Ball, Groucho Marx, Moe Howard, Jack Benny, etc. Phyllis Diller's interview is great, too. Talk about work ethic. And does Ernest Borgnine ever come across as a great guy! I really wanted to watch the Bob Newhart and Don Knotts interviews...but they clear their throats so often, I've yet to get through Chapter One.

Right on ... I haven't had time to go through more of the list, CH, but I'm interested in the history.
Cheers.
