Financial terms were not disclosed. Hainsey, who was drafted 13th overall in 2000, appeared in 11 games with the Canadiens last season, recording his first career goal and assist. He made his NHL debut in 2002-03, collecting two penalty minutes in 21 contests. The 23-year-old Connecticut native spent most of the 2003-04 campaign with Hamilton of the American Hockey League, registering seven goals and 24 assists in 54 games <br>Montreal also signed free agent right wing Gavin Morgan to a one-year contract with a club option for 2005-06. Morgan, 28, made his NHL debut with Dallas last season, recording 21 penalty minutes in six games.
