This season I am off to Hamilton [ Bulldogs] to do more player interviews and I need your help. Some of you might remember last year I did an interview wih Corey Locke, and I asked him all the questions that you wanted answered [ Here's the link for those who missed it http://habsrus.proboards1.com./index.cgi?board=Scouting&action=display&thread=1076415224 ]
As promised it has been arranged for this season in Hamilton, but the number of players have not been finalized, it could be 2 players or 8 players, nothing is set yet. The purpose of this poll is to see who us real fans want to hear from. Ths is going to go strictly on popularity [except for a follow up with Corey Locke]. I will interview as many players as I can, but I will do them in order of popularity first. Try to keep in mind this list might not be set because the NHL season could be under way, and some might be up with the big club. If I leave someone off this list that you like please add them in another message.

All of them... I'd like to know what's going through the heads of Hossa and Hainsey. They've had a number of chances to graduate and have not yet succeeded. What is their outlook?

I would love to talk to both Hossa and Hainsey, but in hindsight they will both be with the big club [if there is a season of course]. I think that they would have to clear waivers to be sent down to Hamilton. We all know they would be taken instantly, so I can't see BG even attempting it...looks like a make it or break it situation for both.

Yuppers, unfortunately Kyle is too young to play in the AHL as a CHL drafted player as he has to be 20 and he is barely 18.5 years old. If anyone is in PA this season...

How about the new acquisitions: Ivanans & Morgan? Also, Plekanec has been quietly earning respect. I'd like to know where he sees himself fitting in....

Hey guys...Not to be ungrateful or anything but I need more people to vote for players they want me to talk to. I post on this site for things like this because you guys are [by far] the most knowlegable habs fans on forums such as these. A big thanks goes out to the mods for letting this happen for us all!!!! I know a ton of people are seeing and reading these posts, and I need more to cast their vote and have a say in the outcome. This is something [fan interaction/involvement] that no one else does and it should be done more frequently if not regularly [we do pay their salaries afterall] . I have been working at this diligently and I am trying to get enough involvement and support so I can eventually take this to the next level...the big Canadiens squad. When I get to that point I'm not going to change anything about my fan involvement approach and I feel it is long overdue and necessary. Now that I'm off my soap box...... I had someone [who will remain nameless] email me and ask if I'd talk to any of the players that the Dallas Stars are sending to the Bulldogs this upcomming season. Unfortunately, no. I would need permission from the Stars organization and Bulldogs for this and just getting to this point with the habs was hard enough. Besides ...there is only one team in hockey that matters [if your here I shouldn't have to finish that sentance ] Thanks again to all that voted and to all that will vote. I have no idea when I will stop and tally the votes as of yet, but I will post it on here. When finished I will post a list of the players I will be interviewing [as well as my email address] and ask for the questions you want/need answered from the listed players. Thanks again!!!

All right, I'll chip in.
I'll say Ron Hainsey, because he seems to be the most likely to give off-the-cuff, or "real" answers. Could be wrong, but he doesn't seem to play the "interview game" as well as the others... ("I see the ball real good" as Andres Galarraga would say.)

Pleky, because he'll make the Habs for sure.

Ron Hainsey gets my vote.
He's got almost everything necessary to be a very effective NHL player. The only thing that seems to be missing is desire. My question to him is why? What does it take to get 100% out of him? What motivates him? Does he really love the game?
IMO, there is no reason why he shouldn't make the Habs this year. The opening is there....Does he have the desire to grab that brass ring?

I would say Hainsey also. He has so many tools and yet..... Hey Habitforming, do you need any help? I love to join in on the interviews or help in any way. I live in Toronto and I can make time anytime you want. And...... I promise we wont use the HA methods of interogation interviewing.

Bah. You guys don't know how to raise muck. Plekanec? Hossa? Kostisyin? "I just have to work hard. My goal is to make the NHL. I love Montreal."
BOOOORRRRINNNG!
Think these guys are going to say anything of substance? Think their interpreters will? They're so white bread Atkins won't let them in the room.
Q: Ron Hainsey, thanks for doing this interview. Lets get right to the point - are you too good for the AHL, and if so, why aren't you in the NHL?
Heck, discussing the answer to that question alone should get us through half the labour dispute! ;D

Q: Ron Hainsey, thanks for doing this interview. Lets get right to the point - are you too good for the AHL, and if so, why aren't you in the NHL? A: No comment. Q: But Ron, your new contract is a one-way ticket to the show. A: Yeah, well, I've paid my rent, er, dues.

Yep, Hainsey's my choice too, if Traverse turns you down.
Its always refreshing to hear something other than the expected tripe of cliches and Hainsey will likely accommodate you. Be sure and ask the tough questions, like, "What do you think of the Quebec Tenancy Act, Ron?:

Be sure and ask the tough questions, like, "What do you think of the Quebec Tenancy Act, Ron?: That's the best part. You get to ask the questions. I'll be asking members to write me with the questions they want answered once the list is finalized.

Dykhuis is still under contract, no? I wonder what his status would be if there's a lockout?
