Is Dougie displaying what appears to be 'tough love' for AK? The zeros across his name the last couple of games suggests he's becoming intimate with the pine bench. Lets hope AK learns whatever DJ wants, or DJ lightens up a little so that AK can develop on the ice rather than off the ice.

Well lads and lassies, Jarvis needs to tone down on the shots against. The boys seems to be fine with the rough stuff, but have to get better at keeping the shots down...a chronic problem to date this season. Do we need Komo..you bet!!

Game report from a poster on Habfans.com:
Subject: My report from the game in Philly Name: Sylvain in USA
Just got home from my trip up to Philly to see the Bulldogs first hand. Living in Virginia I knew this was about the only way I was going to see the future.
I will post some of the things I saw but probably not all at once.
The best player I saw last night was RON HAINSEY hands down!!! He should have been first star!!! I was really impressed with his leadership, he was telling players where to stand before face offs, he really seems to have matured. He was head and shoulders better that Philly's Joni Pitkanen.
Tomas Plekanec was the best forward I saw last night. He was terrific.
Andrei Kostitsyn started on the 4th line but got tons of ice time as the game went on and get this: Jarvis used him on the penalty kill in the 3rd perioD during 1 PP. I also watched Jarvis draw instructions to him as soon as he came back from a shift. Absolutely excited to have this kid in our organization.
Higgins and Milroy were pretty much invisible all night.
Locke needs tons of work and he probably could use development in the ECHL as well as Urquhart who is clearly not ready for this level.
It is great seeing Ward playing, he had a nice goal.
We won both figths rather handily. Philly has a very good team make no mistake but that is because they have a very good corp of verterans.
Shasby got better as the game progressed but I was disappointed in Archer. He is young and I of course will be patient with all of these guys.
For my money Ron Hainsey was great last night and this is how I know: my wife who knows nothing about hockey pointed him out saying she thought he was playing really well. This is from someone who only came with me to keep an eye on me!!
If I think of anything else I will post it.
Thanks

Nice to hear that Ron is doing better this year. As with Hossa, I think this lockout is gonna do wonders for the grey matter!

The imbalance in shots against suggests both poor defense and too many penalties. Ivanans is wildly undisciplined. How can Gainey even consider bringing him up?
It may also result in part from poor communication among the players. Jarvis has his work cut out. Also, some of the younger players don't seem to be ready for the AHL.
