Teams are calling MB and asking about his availability Patches AvailabilityIMO, MB needs to focus on moving Bourque, Gio, BooBoo and Diaz before the deadline or sooner. Patches, with his relatively cheap contract is a bargain for any team. If he gets moved, we better get something really good back for him... not draft picks but a something that can join the big in a short time frame. And they better have size and skill. Would MB have traded Patches for Bobby Ryan? Good link! Says they not shopping him but he is available. Strikes me kind of odd. Odd that he is even available...he is exactly what Habs need. Big, speedy goal scoring winger signed reasonable long term. I can't imagine Montreal moving him but Pacioretty fired his agent last week and two weeks ago came out against team's style of play. Who knows?

This is what concerns me. Depending which centre he ends up with we could be giving away another John LeClair. except John LeClair only became John LeClair when he left he Habs. Yes, that's right. By a centre, I meant a centre on another team ... And, yes, that's right ... I'd be gun shy trading Pacioretty. [/groundhogday][/harakari] Cheers.

Eller's line has definitely been out of sync. IMO it started when Therrien started tinkering. Aside from the last 3 games, Galchenyuk was still contributing regularily despite the tinkering. But Eller has been stone cold for close to 20 games, so moving Gallagher left Galchenyuk alone with a dead Eller and a Prust who can't be the guy counted on to provide offense... As I said, aside from the first 3 games, that famous kid line was more Galchenyuk/Gallagher than anything else. We should rename it the doughnut line.

Who knows? Maybe he fired his agent because of the 6 year discount deal he took. He probably figures he could have gotten more. If MB trades him, it should be a package deal because Patches and DD cannot play without each other it seems. I would love to see Galchy and Patches together for a few games to see what they can do.

I'm hearing lots of talk that if Vancouver keeps dropping in the standings you could see a semi-rebuild happen. I wouldn't mind landing a couple of their guys like Kesler, Kassian or Edler. I would imagine they would be looking at prospects and picks going back their way though.

He's locked up long term for a reasonable sum as well. He'd have to waive his NTC though.

I would imagine they would be looking at prospects and picks going back their way though. Take a core player to get Edler Diaz + Bourque + conditional pick for Edler. Conditional pick is if they sign Diaz or not. I'd consider replacing the conditional pick with Beaulieu. If they do, a third. If they don't, a first rounder. They get a play maker on D, but one dimensional, a big winger capable of scoring but not really fitting in at the moment, and some cap relief. We get a guy with size and skill who's having a terrible year. He's also the heir apparent for Markov. Markov-Subban Edler-Emelin Gorges-Bouillon/Murray Tinordi-Beaulieu

I think Bourque is a deal killer. The only way you trade him is to take on a contract problem. If the Canucks still had Schneider, they'd be 'throwing in' Luongo.

fb.me/2R5q6qWXrJust the latest thing I read on Patches. Not sure about Tinordi, but I would let Beaulieu go.
