Hamilton wins 3-2 in OT on a goal by Chris Higgins. Danis stops 44 of 46 shots. Ellis is a drag on the team. The Bulldogs would be better off with Michaud or anybody else.

Ward leading the way with 5 shots. I've been a Michaud booster since his free agent signing and certainly wouldn't mind seeing him with the Dogs. But a deal's a deal, and the one with Dallas re Hamilton stipulates that a goalie be one of the 6 (maximum number) players the Stars can assign to the Dogs. Unfortunate for Michaud as he's risen to the challenge of playing at successively higher levels: 2003-04 Hamilton AHL 16 games, 2.53, .905 2003-04 Columbus ECHL 22 games, 3.01, .896 2002-03 Sha/BaC QMJHL 58 games, 3.15, .894 The kid just turned 21 in September, and I think he's been unfairly maligned and prematurely written of by some who follow the team. Ideally he should be continuing his apprenticeship in the AHL this season, IMO. Oh well.
