MT commented early in the week that Price would play the last two games of the regular season.

Maybe a little too late for home ice but important to have a good effort going into the playoffs...sill a non believer in this coach and his personnel decisions.... our best players better be on fire...because IMO Cooper will hand MT his hat

Yeah....heard that, too. I wouldn't expect anything else. Although, he praised Bergeviin for picking up Weaver.
Wait til Coach's Corner....it'll be Leafs' apologetics..."Let's not get down on 'em..." Then how great it's gonna be with "good Irish boy" Shanahan.
Healy's the only one on that panel who tells it like it is.
Stock adds nothing. His plus/minus on that show is -215.

Vanek should've shot that puck....still trying to get Max his 40th.

Finally, in front of the tube. CBC HD is carrying the redundant Leafs, so no decision to make. Time to improve my French. I thought Bournival was with Pleks, but now it's Weise. Odd.

Cube nearly turns over the puck (for the second time since I've been watching) Is Bournival at centre with Blunden and White, or is White playing centre?

Booboo against Dorsett? Well done Frankie!

Whoa, I almost can't believe my eyes. Bourque anticipated a clearing pass up the boards and stopped it ! Good of Cube to come in there vs Dorsett. He's a tough kid, but Cube nailed him with a right hand once, really good. Dorsett tried to take out DD and had his knee out too far. Do we have any toughies dressed tonight? I mean tall, heavy toughies. Haven't seen Tinordi, so if so, we have no one, really.

Cube just got huge points for going after Dorsett for a dirty leg-trip on DD.
The guy bleeds CH....but he's just too old and not good enough. (Sorry Frankie...)

The PP continues to blow chunks.
We do NOT look like a playoff team.
We look like a team that is content to have achieved its goal of MAKING the playoffs.

I know the Rangers aren't normally a goon team, but I'd feel better whenever one of Parros, Prust, Tinordi, Murray and Moen are dressed. Injuries have limited that number, but wouldn't it have been much better to have Tinordi or Murray whipping punches at Dorsett rather than Cube the gamer?

If home ice vs Tampa weren't at stake, I wouldn't care in the least. I know the guys don't want to get hurt in a 'meaningless' game. Bourque. Sigh. Trips over one of the face-off lines after PK gives him a gift pass.

Personally, I'd rather start every game on the road as I think the team is under less pressure in those cases. The one exception may be Tampa because their home record is much much better than their road record. There's some advantage they have at home that escapes them on the road and that's why I was keen to beat them. Otherwise, we are better in every respect except one (Stamkos). So how is it they've beaten us so often this year?

Outshot 14 to 5. The lack of possession game continues. If they're worried about going hard and getting injured, perhaps they should've started Budaj. The Rangers appear to be quite focussed.

Cherry: Butchers Bouillon's name (Boudoir)...doesn't care. Complaining that Frankie should've got an instigator...and that he kept his visor on. (Dorsett's hit was "kind of a cheap shot").
Leafs are gone...so it's Boston Bruins all the way.
Next...Vancouver. Linden's a good business guy.
Next...Shanahan. (Over highlights of Shanahan hitting, fighting, bleeding etc.) Great move for the Leafs. Heart and soul, from Toronto. Instil this grit with the Leafs...you'll have no problem!
Nothin' against Phaneuf, but he has a problem. He has a tough enough time without the captain's gun to his head, answering questions....he wants to just go out and play the game. They should change the captain.
=================
Stroke those Leafs' fans, boys.....
NOT ONE WORD ABOUT THE HABS BEING THE ONLY CANADIAN TEAM IN THE SHOW....AND THEY'RE SHOWING A HABS' GAME!!!
