Sanford has no regrets about decision to leave junior hockey

When James Sanford was playing for the Moncton Wildcats, he was a standout performer despite the fact he wasn't in great physical condition.
He had lots of pure talent and that was enough to carry him to noteworthy heights during his four-year career in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. So, it was a wakeup call for him in September when he reported to the National Hockey League rookie camp of the Montreal Canadiens.
"The big thing is that I wasn't in the best shape that I could've been going into Montreal's camp," said Sanford, who's living in Illinois and playing his rookie professional season with the Peoria Rivermen of the East Coast Hockey League.
