Hmmm... Unscrupulous landlords trying to take advantage of a rich foreigner, perhaps? Canadiens' Hainsey wins ruling[/b] MARK CARDWELL Freelance
Tuesday, December 07, 2004
Ron Hainsey has stickhandled his way out of an embarrassing $11,000 lawsuit brought on by two former landlords who accused him of turning their apartment into a "pigpen" that couldn't be rented for months after he left.
In a ruling handed down last Thursday, Quebec rent-board adjudicator Marc Begin rejected and, at times, ridiculed the claimants' arguments that Hainsey owed them $10,443.55 for eight months rent, plus interest.
"Tribunals are often confronted with controversial evidence," Begin wrote. "In the present case, what is amazing is that, not only do the (claimants') witnesses contradict each other, they contradict their own testimony."www.canada.com/montreal/montrealgazette/news/sports/story.html?id=4386cafa-c4b9-429b-bb9e-48135fdf3774Wow. A 22 year old with a messy bathroom. (For those of you without access, the judge ordered Hainsey to pay the Thibodeaus $50, plus interest, as well as $84.31 in court fees for the clean-up of "a bathroom left in an unclean state."

I wonder how many people will remember the lawsuit and not the verdict.

So far as I'm concerned, the wrong Hab wriggled free of the clutches of the law. There's that matter in Hamilton ...

Damn right, Stafford should hanged. After apologizing to Alex, of course.

This was a no brainer.
Like I said before, the landlord has to make ever effort to limit his monetary damages by making every effort to rent the apartment again and clean it up. And they will only be awarded to him by the courts if he was unable to rent the apartment by Hainsey's actions, and obviously he could have gotten someone else to rent the apartment again. He thought he had easy money.

Damn right, Stafford should hanged. After apologizing to Alex, of course. Perhaps not, the Barons are making their own morbid, symbolic gesture: On Saturday, March 5th [2005], the Barons will host the Hamilton Bulldogs at 7:00pm. The first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive a Garrett Stafford Bobblehead. - www.oursportscentral.com/services/releases/?id=3093078&l_id=&t_id=Oh, to be an evil marketing genius.

I wonder how many people will remember the lawsuit and not the verdict. More to the point: How many people will remember Ron Hainsey?

More to the point: How many people will remember Ron Hainsey? If they remember Chris Dyment, they'll surely remember the infinitely more colorful Ron Hainsey.

Hainsey reminds me of Anna Nicole Smith. Very Big, looks good, no character, no brains, no effort, and at the end of the day nothing good is produced.
