Looks like Habs' prospect Alexei Emelin made the final Russian WJC team roster. With 8 defencemen listed, let's hope he sees some ice time. The only game scheduled on TSN in which Russia plays in on Sunday December 26th at 2pm ET against the Americans, so that will be my first chance to see him play (if he indeed does play that game). TSN will also show quarter and semi final games, so we likely will catch another glimpse of Russia down the road. Yemelin/Emelin now joins fellow Hab prospects Kostitsyn, Halak and Heino-Lindberg at this year's edition of the WJC. www.russianprospects.com/public/news_content.php?id=1910&anchor=Main&PHPSESSID=16085030eea6979189537cbb54b3fb20

Grigoriy Misharin was cut from what I understand, so there should be 7 defensemen. Yemelin was paired with Ezhov an RSL vet of 2 years, so I would assume he will be paired with him.
The USA-Russia game is actually played on the 25th at 8:30 pm but is being shown in Canada the next day.

That bodes well that he could end up with some good ice time. I haven't seen Yemelin play yet, so I am looking forward to seeing how he matches up against a strong American team.
