2 Sens' PP goals in the third do us in....plus an empty netter.
Anybody see the game?
Wondering if Tinordi did anything to promote/hurt his chances.

We lost because we played on our heels in the third period with a one goal lead. Tinordi made a few mistakes but he also saved a goal making a goalie save backing up Price who was down on the ice. The Habs are still a below par team when playing 5vs5. We need to keep Tinordi to play around 40 games against the tough teams in our division. We have nobody else to do that job. Neil wasn't playing tonight and Prust challenged Boroweicki to a fight in which he received some stiff blows and was cut below an eye. He could also have reinjured his shoulder. We must keep Tinordi on our 23 men roster as a #8 dman staying with the big team.

Two losses in a row but I didn't get sense Habs were out played late powerplays in both and last 2 goals tonight were on bad breaks. The boys will ramp it up in the real season my concerns are the line combos and how much MT will play around with them Emelin has been a bit shakey with PK but its only been 4 games.
PK amd Price ready to lead looking forward to seeing Sekac ...looks like a player.
Nice surprise is the play of Bourque playing like a guy who knows he's almost out the door, if he goes back to his old ways, going to be curious to see if he can keep it up and even more curious who's next in line.
Real tough schedule to start the whole month is a tough start.... so out of the gate will see what they are made of early.
Go Habs

The goal that tied it was the result of Malhotra letting his check - Zabinejad - skate into the slot and wire one. Not much chance for Price. Their first goal hit at least one person before floating in over Price. The go ahead goal was bang bang.
Habs definitely stopped doing what got them success early. Therrien gave PP time to kids, that might have taken a bit of steam out of the special teams, but it's the pre-season.

I just saw the highlights and I sure hope Ottawa is using up their inventory of horseshoes. Hoffman has to be the luckiest man alive. That's two flukey goals in two nights. Two other Ottawa goals came courtesy of great bounces, when they (Ottawa) made mistakes and it turned out well for them. I don't mind those things in Pre-season when they're useless. I sure hope that doesn't continue in the regular season, though.

In the two games against the Sens, Tinordi played 35 minutes (44 shifts), he had 5 hits, 5 blocked shots, 2 giveaways and he was (-1). Therrien said last night was his best game of the pre-season. He also said the team needed the physical dimension he's brining to the table.
I believe Tinordi was the one who was supposed to dance with Boroweicki last night but, before the game, the refs gave Therrien and Tinordi a warning that they didn't want any follow-up to the previous night donnybrook. I guess they should also have warned Prust.

If they did I'm hoping it had something to do with, "... we just read the Habs the riot act ... provoke them into something tonight and it will cost you and your team big time ..." I'm not saying this is what was said, but as a former official in another sport that's the way I'd do it ... Cheers.

The Habs have made progress from last season to this. The Sens traded their first round pick and are treading water.
