too liberal for the Conservatives, too conservative for the Liberals . . . the perfect no-man's land candidate between Ford and Chow.

Doug won't be there to tag-team. But Rob will still be there, deliberately gummin' up the works and creating dissension for no other reason than Ford self-interest for 2018. (Presuming he'll return to health). I'm going by his post-election speech.
I really don't think that family has the best interests of the city at heart. I think they fancy themselves as the Kennedys. It's more about them than it is about Toronto.
Rob will be back on his John Oakley radio stump, like he was for years as a councillor prior to 2010. To me, Rob has zero cred as a politician. The sheeple love him for the Ford's populist platform, which is full of platitudes.
And I don't think the courts are done with him or Lisi yet.
I'm not saying Tory will do an outstanding job…but at least the divisiveness and sideshow will be gone from the mayor's chair.

With the exception of one person, the people I voted for in Kingston won ... a new mayor is welcome ... the Kingston downtown core continues to lock the doors on small businesses ... newly-elected mayor, Brian Paterson, understands the importance of attracting new business and supporting existing businesses ... as an outsider looking in, the outgoing mayor was not committed to small business and, only IMHO, he just used the office to gain popularity for future provincial/federal aspirations ... the city councillor for our area was re-elected and she has been supporting me in trying to improve the city drainage system on our end of the street ... had a neighbour lose in his bid for school Trustee, but other than that I'm expecting improvements from this city council ...
Cheers.

I use to live in Ward 1 and work in Ward 5 of Etobicoke. I love to see the unfiltered demographics of those who voted for all three parties.

Doug Ford Suggests a Bid For Ontario PC LeadershipBut that doesn't mean he's opposed to a future political bid — and he admits to considering the possibility of running for the Ontario PC leadership.
"It has crossed my mind and I truly believe the PC Party has a lot of work to do," he said.
"They've lost track of their roots, they've lost track of the common people and if they ever want to run the provincial government again, there has to be a housecleaning from top to bottom. It's the same people that were there before my dad was there, the same small group and it's just not going to work." I'm sure the "housecleaning from top to bottom" comment will ingratiate himself to the party. The Ontario PCs can't be so desperate as to even consider wide-brush, simplified, populist politics. The Fords' approach is akin to selling elixir from the back of a wagon. "Step right up, folks….you say you got problems? You say you've tried every powder, potion, and tincture but the problems remain? Well, I've got good news, folks! What I've got right here is not only a solution…it is THE solution…why, it's a miracle in a bottle!"

HA will go ape-you-know-what . . . the Liberals will be able to do whatever they want because their limited opposition will be even more limited. we saw where "a bad Liberal government or a Hudak government" went . . . a terrible Liberal government will have a cake-walk against a Edsel Ford-led Tory party.

Douggie and go drown in a puddle of water....and I feel sorry for the water.......
If he is serious, then I'm going to be a card carrying PC and make it my lifes mission to sabotage and make him look like a fool.....as if that is much of a stretch.
Douggie half wit also is musing about running federally. There, I'm not worried as much because Harper will not let the Ford sideshows derail their message.
Full disclosure...because I lived in the area and heard about them a long time ago, I actually supported and helped Rob Ford campaign. It was more of the anti-Miller, anti-union, anti-left then any particular love for Ford. I didn't have the tinniest clue that he was going to be a drug sucking, gansta hipster sideshow. Now, like a jilted lover, I'm going to go nuclear Glenn Close.......
