There's a lot more German beers that are better than Hofbräuhaus (right dschens) but in this case ... hope you're having a great day buds ...

Why, bless you all, fellows. I've learned a lot since becoming a member of this board. I hope I've been able to make a worthwhile contribution or two.

I've been to Germany several times, but never during the Oktoberfest, when Munich is too crowded and expensive. I have a feeling you know that good beer is brewed all over Europe (as well as in South America and Japan). Why are most American lagers substandard? Americans seem to settle for anything that's chilled and sweet. Also, the English can keep their warm ale. Cheers!

Google that when you have a minute ... every party I went to in our village always seemed to have Rothaus ... it was only available in the Black Forest, but I found out I can bring it in through the LCBO ... not sure I want to pay the price, though ... Belguim has some excellent beer as does Holland, Austria ... don't mind the English stout, actually ... I don't know if it's supposed to be room temperature or chilled, but I'll drink it either way ... while we're talking, I remember a lot of German beer was poured and drank at room temperature ... didn't mind it at all ... have a good one man ... Cheers.
