At least 15 women over the decades. The latest…former supermodel Janice Dickinson.
NBC has shelved development of his sitcom.
Netflix will not show his special.
TV Land has pulled reruns of the Cosby Show.
Cosby's reported MO…using his power/image to gain trust….then slipping some pills into a drink.

my question: are charges going to be laid or is it just going to remain within the realm of innuendo and therefore character assassination?
not saying that the claims aren't true -- but if they are and you have brought it to the public attention you have to follow through (easy for me to say).

The women's stories are beyond innuendo…and some of them go back to being reported many years ago. It's only now that they're coming to light again, in the wake of comic Hannibal Buress's rants about "Cosby being a rapist". And perhaps the Ghomeshi story played a part...
Needless to say, Cosby's got a very strong team (legal/spin)….likely working around the clock right now.
But you're right, franko…the women will have to press charges. Is there a statute of limitations on sex crimes in the States?

Is there a statute of limitations on sex crimes in the States? good question. I think there is but it'll take a lot more time to look it up than I'm willing to spend . . . though Texas is 10 years. every State is different. funny (well not funny) thing: I give it a week or two for it to return to the back-burner UNLESS someone is bold enough to press charges -- which to be honest I don't think will stick in the he said/she said world.

Is there a statute of limitations on sex crimes in the States? Yes there is statute of limitations and they've run out ... So, since there is no way Cosby will ever answer these allegations, he will be tried in the court of public opinion. The reason Cosby will not fight these allegations, by suing for defamation, is that there is no lawyer in the world that would allow him to go through deposition and now get those past incidents on record. I do wonder about the timing of these women coming out, but that's offset by the fact that these women have nothing to gain by coming out .... Sometimes if it quacks like a duck, it's a duck
