Seeing Elise's reaction after the game was enough for me.

Oh, there are still major problems...but I can put them aside for one night. Miller was really the only Canuck who showed up tonight.

Andrighetto fitting in nice. Canucks were a team ripe for the picking and we barely got it done. Somebody better draw something up for the powerplay

Right on CH, yeah, for sure ... that was awesome to see ... she looks good, eh ... young Ghetto making an impact while he's in Montreal ... like, he's good ... saw Gallagher's goal ... nice to see him responding to that contract ... hope those lines stay together for a while ... holding Vancouver to one goal is an accomplishment ...
Cheers.

Didnt get to see beyond first. Lots of passes just off by a hair, and bouncing pucks.
Regarding Andrighetto, he had a battle in the corner with Bieksa - a much bigger player. He won it, and finished the play off with a check that showed his strength. I'm not sure there's space on our team for two players as small as he and Gallagher, but their compete factor is great. If nothing else, he's doing a great job showcasing himself for Berg as a possible trade chip.

Elise Beliveau stayed for a while after the game and spoke with fans.
What a boost in the healing process they're receiving....and rightly so.

It wouldn't have been the end of the world, but it would've been a damn shame to lose that one.
Shouldn't have been that close. Too easy to defend vs us, and we give up gift chances.

The Canucks have been winning. Their record prior to this game compared favorably to the Habs and was much better than under Tortorella.

Could have been referring to the fact it was the last game of a 7 game road trip, that one of their top dmen, Hamhuis is injured and that their hottest line was broken up because Shawn Matthias couldn't play.
Eller's hurt for us so that evens it a bit.

Andrighetto fitting in nice. Canucks were a team ripe for the picking and we barely got it done. Yup, Canucks didn't show much energy and after we took the lead it felt like they were going through the motions, and an individual effort tied it and I really thought we were going to get bitten in the rear for not being able to close this one after getting the most scoring opportunities but not putting them away. Overall, when the top line and the top defense pairing are out there, I'm thrilled. After that, our 4th line is effective but we're thin on the wings. 'Ghetto is fitting in well in part because there isn't much competition. Looking at our lineup, I wonder if Scherbak might be a top-6 winger with us next season.

The Habs are a truly classy organisation (I found this on another site):

A dominant Corsi night for the new Galchenyuk/Pax/Gallagher line, something north of 90%. It's just one game but it's going to be hard to break that up if they keep rolling.
This team looks so much better with Beaulieu and Bournival in the lineup. Beau has the best puck skills on the team behind PK and Markov, management just needs to stop messing with him. The AHL is a waste of his time. I continue to love Bournival's energy and quickness on the forecheck. He had a great shift in the last 2 minutes keeping the puck in the VAN zone.
DD may do well on the 3rd line, away from the opponent's top checking line. We all say he's not a true #1 and this allows Therrien to match him up better and take advantage of his skills.
The question is what happens when Eller comes back. When you look at possessin metrics and adjust things like zone starts, Eller has been the most productive centre on the team despite taking 60% of his zone starts in the defensive zone. I don't think he will ever be a big points guy but he was on pace for 20 goals this year, which is pretty good given how he's been used. My concern is that Eller again will be the odd man out and get shoved to the wing because DD can't play anywhere else. But I'm 100% behind using Galchenyuk at centre if he can play like this!
Whatever. This was a great effort, an emotional win and I'm just happy to see our best players on the ice.

No doubt a work in progress but a lot of credit to our best players who stepped up in an important game emotionally for the organization and the city and all it's fans. I wish I taped the game it was pretty amazing especially that moment of silence there was not even a whisper in the air. I hope when Eller returns they don't move Galchenyuk back...time this team commit fully to the future no matter if there are painful growing pains which there very well may be none.

HFTO That's the easy way out, HFTO. Galchy back to LW and Eller back to centre. Will they have the courage to take the next step? But what do you do with Desharnais?
