a voice indeed. the only one (imo) that consistently does justice to song covers -- The Beatles especially, but loved Unchain My Heart and First We Take Manhattan.

Mad Dogs & Englishman. Takes me back to some great summer memories from the early 70's! Loved his live renditions of Delta Lady and Space Captain. I didn't know he was sick. He'll be missed.

Hard to believe that Cocker hasn't yet been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Then again, there are many greats not yet in for some reason….politics/business deals/conflict of interest have long been rumoured to be part of the nomination process.
And if Jann Wenner didn't care for you back in the day….good luck, no matter how many records you sold or stadiums you filled.
