While the CHL top prospects were all the buzz, our own Habs top prospects were handing a nice licking to Chicago for their first win against the Wolves this season. Two empty netters by the Dogs, so quite a close one against a tough goalie in Lehtonen. Gavin Morgan leads the way with the hat trick (who would have thunk it?) and an assist. Danis started and Ellis replaced him for the win. Hainsey, Kostitsyn and Ivanans all back in the lineup.

Maltais nets 600th career goal

It took a little longer than planned, but Chicago Wolves forward Steve Maltais scored the 600th goal of his professional career in Wednesday night's 6-3 loss to Hamilton at Allstate Arena.

Maltais, who scored No. 599 on Dec. 26, has been a member of the Wolves for each of the franchise's 11 seasons. He has scored 449 goals in a Chicago uniform, and 208 in his American Hockey League career.
