It would be nice to make a statement with a big win.

I'm expecting them to come out like they did against the isles.

I checked the guide on bell and it shows SN-Ontario showing Pens v Flyers.... i guess there are more Pens and Flyers fans in Ontario than there are habs fans.

Peke or no Peke challenge for the Habs is fighting through the Preds big D teams like this are the ones they struggle with so the fight they show tonight will be worth watching...hope they are not in vacation mode.

HFTO It might not be as bad. ... with Laviolette as coach they've opened things up offensively. Under Trotz they were more tight checking team so hopefully the boys have more room. I know Riberio will be pumped to play at the Bell Centre

Typical start. Sluggish, little creativity, hemmed in our end. Yawn.

Quiet out there. No birds chirping, nothing. Must be Predators around.

It's sure tough on our dmen having to make such long passes in order to initiate attacks. It looks easier for the other team to take away space by forcing the D as there's no easy outlet for them.

Last few minutes have been in our favour. More time spent in their end than ours, though not many good scoring chances.....yet. Fire everything at the net.

carrying play but all perimeter stuff....going to have to battle to get to the net something I knew they would struggle with.

Outshot 14-4. More importantly, tied 0-0 and our crappy first period is over.

Shots are 9-0 Preds....just 3:00 into the second period.
23-4 overall.
Come on, Habs. Grow several sets.

WE really miss size on the D. Too often we don't have an answer for the bigger forwards, even if they aren't skilled. We just can't move people off the puck. Fourth line (I think) got caught on a very long shift in our end and Beaulieu/Gonchar (nor our forwards) couldn't take the puck away. Still 0-0, but Carey is keeping us in again.

The preds really aren't giving the guys much. It's tight out there, going to have to up the fight level.
Markov takes a penalty on the Forsberg break.

Still no shots this period.

We certainly don't need incompetent officiating.
Jokinen got hit with the puck, not Eller's stick.
Glad they got together on that one.

A ref who admits an error. Give them a star.
We've increased our shots by 25%, from 4 to 5.
