Dogs still have a long way to go for a playoff berth. Sadly, I don't see it happening this season.

Who knows? When is Komi due back? Any week now, I believe. Then, let the head hunting begin.

What's the news on him anyway? Is he in shape, or in the process of getting in shape? Either way, I don't think one player can make that significant amount of a difference.

Things got really deperate on the blueline in the third period of Friday's game against Edmonton. Coté was sidelined with an injury and Archer was serving a chunk of the 17 minutes he got for coming to Locke's aid. That left Jancevski, Daley, Sanford and Hainsey as the active d-men. Jarvis even had Ward play some shifts on defense. Helps to explain being outscored 3-1 and outshot 20-9 in the period, after having the game well in hand through two.
Oh yeah, Plante is out for the rest of the season.
From what I've read Komo isn't expected to be ready to play until the end of February at the earliest.
Time for Hainsey to step up.

From what I've read Komo isn't expected to be ready to play until the end of February at the earliest. That's only 2 weeks. Still leaves another 6 weeks to make a playoff spot.

Time for Hainsey to step up. What are the odds?

I honestly can't say, though it is a golden opportunity for Hainsey to seize the bull by the horns, ratchet up his game and show some leadership. I'm certain the Habs brass is watching him closer than usual during this period. Could be make or break time for Hollywood.
