An update on how the kids in the CHL are doing: Jeremy Gregoire - 8 pts in 5 games, his team is through to the second round Daniel Audette - 6 pts in 6 games, his team was just eliminated last night Zach Fucale - Quebec are playing the deciding Game 7 tonight Nikita Scherbak - 3 pts in 5 games, they are playing game 6 tonight and can wrap up the series with a win Brett Lernout - lost in first round of the playoffs, reassigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs for the remainder of the season Tim Bozon - 9 pts in 7 games, the Ice were eliminated by Calgary last night in Game 7 Mike McCarron - 3 pts in 5 games, Oshawa plays Niagara in the second round Thanks for keeping this going, guys ... I was on this thread at work earlier today the information on our prospects is very useful ... don't know if other teams have this kind of forum,, but we'll take it ... looking at Gregoire's stats and he looks to have had a pretty good year all around ... he's a 6'0" RH centre and he's only 19 ... McCarron's production has significantly dropped off since he left London ... Tim Bozon seems to have fully recovered and he had an impact in the playoffs ... Daniel Audette is a very talented player, but he's got a pretty small frame ... Cheers.

Big Mac scored another nice one today. The video of the goal takes a little bit of work. www.niagaraicedogs.netOn Niagara's site, they have a video section. Click on the game highlights tab. Pick NIA OSH game 2. Big Mac's goal is the second highlight I believe.

Thanks NWT. I was looking for him to roof it and instead he slid it low and found space under the sprawling goalie. Nice patience, anyway.

McCarron, hot off his four point night last night (2g, 2a, GWG) and his Generals can finish off their series tonight as can Gregoire and his lads. Everett is in tough with perennial contender Portland Winterhawks, being down 2-1 in the series that continues tonight as well.

I'm still surprised at his soft hands on such a big guy. One of his assists showed his quick thinking too. When he passed off to the left winger on that 3 on 2 and the winger's shot was blocked, McCarron immediately tapped the loose puck over to Dal Colle on the right wing to tap it into the open side. Good awareness of where everyone was.
I think his next step is going to have to be gaining just a bit more speed. He's ok speedwise and the highlights of the game against the Bruins show he can keep up, but if he can gain half a step, it will make his transition to the NHL a bit easier. Has he ever improved this year! I loved watching that sequence where Millar tries to knock him to kingdom come and McCarron turns into the Hulk and bounces Millar into Svedberg. That is one of my favourite highlights of this entire year.
