Tuesday, February 22, 2005 By Courtney Gillies | Herald staffKyle Chipchura returned to Prince Albert last week carrying a lighter load than when he left more than two months ago. The Prince Albert Raiders veteran forward hasn’t lost his upbeat and positive attitude, but he has shed a pair of crutches and a cast. Chipchura, 19, severed an Achilles tendon during practice Dec. 3 when a teammate’s skate blade got caught inside the back guard of his skate. He underwent surgery later that day. Since the injury, Chipchura hit the road at 6:30 a.m. daily from his home in Vimy, Alta., to the University of Alberta in Edmonton for physiotherapy sessions. “I am walking on my own now and building up the strength in my leg,” Chipchura said Friday while watching the Raiders play the Swift Current Broncos. “I can walk good on it for a couple of hours, but them I get tired and start to limp.”<br> - www.paherald.sk.ca/news.aspx?StoryID=29994
